QuickScan QR Pro ("the App") is developed by 2al2 Studio. This policy describes how we handle your information.

Your Data Stays on Your Device

All content you create — scan history, inventories, sessions, product library, generated codes, and settings — is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB and localStorage. We do not have access to your scans, inventories, or any content you create in the App.

Camera Access

The App requests camera permission solely for scanning QR codes and barcodes. Camera data is processed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit's on-device barcode recognition. No camera images, video, or scan data is sent to any server. The camera is only active when you explicitly initiate a scan.

Device Permissions

The App may request the following permissions, each requiring your explicit approval:

• Camera: Required for barcode and QR code scanning.
• Contacts: Optional — only used if you choose to create a QR code from an existing contact.
• Location: Optional — only used if you choose to create a QR code with your current location.
• NFC: Optional — used for NFC tag reading if supported by your device.
• Photos/Media: Optional — used when scanning QR codes from images in your gallery.

No permission is activated without your consent, and you can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.

App Usage and Diagnostics

We monitor app usage to improve the user experience, fix bugs, and understand how features are used. This includes:

• Anonymous usage events (e.g. which features are used, error reports).
• Basic device information (device model, OS version) for debugging compatibility issues.
• App performance data to identify and resolve crashes.

Accounts and Trial

The App uses Firebase Authentication to manage the free trial period and optional subscriptions. On first launch, an anonymous account is created automatically — no personal information is required unless you choose to sign in with Google for premium features. You can use all core features without signing in.

Data Storage

• All scan history, sessions, inventories, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
• Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app will permanently delete all locally stored information.

LAN Server Feature

The App includes an optional LAN Server feature that creates a local web server on your device accessible only within your WiFi network. This feature:

• Operates entirely on your local network — no data is sent to the internet.
• Is only active when you explicitly start it.
• Only devices on the same WiFi network can connect.
• Scan data is shared only with devices you allow to connect.
• All data transmission stops when you stop the server.

Webhooks

The App allows you to optionally configure webhook URLs to send scan data to external services. This feature:

• Is disabled by default — you must explicitly add and enable webhook URLs.
• Sends data only to URLs you specify.
• You control what data is sent and can disable webhooks at any time.
• We do not operate or control any webhook receiving services.

OCR Text Recognition

The App includes an optional OCR (text recognition) feature powered by Google ML Kit. Text recognition is performed entirely on your device. No images or extracted text are sent to any server.

Advertising

The free tier displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data according to Google's privacy policy. In applicable regions, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. No ads are shown for Pro+ subscribers.

Export and Sharing Features

The App includes optional export features (CSV, Excel, PDF, JSON) and sharing features. When you use these features, data is shared only through your device's native sharing capabilities at your discretion. We do not intercept, store, or process exported or shared content.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
